Bill Mitchell of BKDI completes the Lake Chaparral Olympic Distance Triathlon & gears up for a GranFondo bike ride with Grosvenor
Another step in his triathlon adventure – Bill completed the Lake Chaparral Olympic Distance Triathlon on Sunday! It was a beautiful day and he had a great race! A 1.5km swim, 40km bike ride and a 10.6km run, all of which he completed in 2hrs 59min and 41seconds - 19 seconds under his pre-race goal! He was also able to enjoy the experience with his daughter Jordyn! She completed the “Kids of Steel” triathlon on Saturday and she had a smile on her face the entire time! All in all it was a great weekend, and a great family event!
We’ve also heard that Bill’s next endeavor is the GranFondo bike ride from Vancouver to Whistler – 124km uphill - on September 10th! He’s been invited to ride as part of Grosvenor team, who we’re working with on the Drake residential project. Sounds like a grueling ride but something he and the Grosvenor team are looking forward to!
