Melanie Completes the Canadian Cancer Society

Over the weekend, BKDI staff member Melanie Smith participated in the Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life – a 12-hour overnight relay event in support of the fight against cancer. Despite the constant rain throughout the night, Melanie said that everyone was in high spirits and that it was a very heartwarming event – one that she would be happy to participate in again next year. Melanie had set a $1000.00 fundraising goal for herself and was able to far surpass this by raising $1600.00 with the help of the BKDI Partnership matching all donations made by our staff. Way to go, Melanie!
