January can often be a quiet month, with things slowly picking up after the Christmas break, but that hasn’t been the case at BKDI. Already more than halfway through January and 2013 is shaping up to be a great year with a steady stream of exciting projects coming into the office.
Last year, in the fall, the female half of the office took a timeout from the busy work schedule with a Ladies Night out at Escoba. A lot of pink was involved and a fun night was had by all. To ring in the New Year, the male half of the office felt it was about time that they had a little get-together of their own to get back in the swing of things. It was also an excellent opportunity for some of the new recruits to socialise with their new peers outside of work.
With a good turnout, representing all levels in the office, the group descended on Ceili's pub on 4th Avenue for a couple of post-work drinks and banter. There was much anticipation of the upcoming, if somewhat shortened, hockey season just around the corner. Throw in plenty of talk about the different projects people were working on; design in general; and just to mix things up a little, Alan Ford explained the ins and outs of his own native sport of Cricket! It was certainly a great way to blow off steam after a hectic start to the year.
