BKDI Bonspiel-ing Results!
Last Thursday over the lunch hour, some of our BKDI family members launched themselves down the slick ice on inner tubes at Olympic Plaza for the annual Calgary Corporate Challenge Event – Human Bonspiel! Although the ice was cold, the weather turned out to be quite delightful, allowing our two teams to slide a little farther and cheer a little harder. Each team of four had three chances to slide down the ice in an attempt to land as close as they could to the button. It turned out to be more difficult than it appears; our veterans from last year knew what to anticipate, and our rookies soon discovered this, but everyone took to the ice with smiles and good spirits for an entertaining event and a worthy cause!
BKDI is always happy to support a great cause as well – a portion of each registration fee was generously donated to KidSport™ Calgary. KidSport™ is an organization that helps remove the financial barriers that prevent children from having the opportunity to play in and enjoy the benefits of organized sports. Since their launch in 1995, they have assisted more than 48,638 kids become involved in programs that otherwise would not have been able to afford to do so.
